Szemantika / Semantics (EN)

 A választást erőteljesen (199 helyből összesen 52-t tudtak megszerezni, a legtöbbet így is pártlistáról) elveszítő FIDESZ/KDNP (sajnálom, de a KDNP-t nem lehet önálló pártnak minősíteni) valamelyik képviselője azt mondta, hogy konstruktív ellenzékként kívánnak részt venni az új országggyűlés munkájában.

Konstruktív ellenzék: olyan politikai magatartásforma, amelyben az ellenzéki pártok nem csupán elvből, minden javaslatot elutasítva politizálnak a kormány ellen, hanem érdemi, megvalósítható javaslatokkal, szakmai érvekkel járulnak hozzá a törvényalkotáshoz és a közélethez.

Ehhez képest az új parlament megalapításának első napján egyöntetűen nemmel szavaztak a több mint kétharmaddal nyertes TISZA párt miniszterelnök-jelöltjére, Magyar Péterre.

(A későbbiekben is vagy tartózkodtak - ami, elmondásuk szerint azért "pozitív tartózkodás" volt - vagy a leendő miniszterek ellen szavaztak a meghallgatásokon.)
Kíváncsi vagyok, hogy a konsturktivitás jegyében ki lett volna az ő jelöltjük úgy, hogy a FIDESZ elnöke, Orbán Viktor fel se vette a képviselői mandátumát, így nem is jutott be a parlamentbe.

One of the representatives of FIDESZ/KDNP (I'm sorry, but the KDNP cannot be classified as an independent party), which lost the election heavily (they were able to win a total of 52 out of 199 seats, most of them from party lists), said that they want to participate in the work of the new parliament as a constructive opposition.

Constructive opposition: a form of political behavior in which opposition parties do not only politicize against the government out of principle, rejecting all proposals, but also contribute to lawmaking and public life with substantive, feasible proposals and professional arguments.

In comparison, on the first day of the new parliament's establishment, they unanimously voted no to the prime minister candidate of the TISZA party, Péter Magyar, who won with more than two-thirds.

(They later either abstained - which, according to them, was a "positive abstention" - or voted against the future ministers at their auditions.)

I wonder who their candidate would have been in the spirit of constructivism, given that FIDESZ president Viktor Orbán did not even take up his parliamentary mandate and thus did not enter parliament.

Változó idők / Changing times (EN)

- Egyáltalán nem nézel ki annyinak, mennyi vagy. Vagyis amennyinek mondod magad.
- Persze, mert tudod, vámpír vagyok. A hozzám hasonlóknak időről-időre új személyazonosságot kell felvennie, mielőtt túlságosan gyanús lesz a körülöttünk levőknek, hogy nem öregszünk.
- Azért elképzeltem, ahogy az előző 'életedben' elgondolkoztál: "Mi legyek legközelebb? Megvan, elmegyek Budapestre, a metróhoz dolgozni!" Annyira jellemzően malkáv!

Rémálom a Karmelitában / Nightmare in the Carmelite*

 …kellett nekem este, közvetlenül lefekvés előtt belenéznem a leköszönő miniszterelnökünk utolsó interjújába, amit - hol máshol - Dopeman műsorában követett el.
…azt álmodtam. hogy Viktor beszél a tévében, de egy AI-vel visszafiatalított fejjel, és nem is a stúdióban hanem valami északi típusú faházban, ráadásul valamiért ilyen őz-szerű agancsok voltak a fején, kicsit fel is díszítve, karácsonyosan.
…és persze a szokásos mindentudó "csakéntudomhogykellcsinálni"-stílusban mondott mindenféle okosságokat. Ráadásul az álmomban ez valami sorozat volt, nem egyedi eset.
…és kiderült, hogy van valami játék, társasjáték, amiben benne van, pontosan ugyanolyan külsővel, agancsok meg minden, olyan "keljfeljancsi"-testtel. És elindultam a boltba, hogy vegyek magamnak egyet és ott bontogattam a dobozt, hogy valóban olyan-e…
…és ekkor, szerencsére, felébresztett a macska.

…I had to watch the last interview of our outgoing Prime Minister last night, right before going to bed, which he committed on - where else - the Dopeman's show.

…I dreamed that Viktor was speaking on TV, but with an AI-rejuvenated head, and not in the studio, but in some Nordic-style wooden house, and for some reason he had these deer-like antlers on his head, decorated a little, like Christmas.

…and of course he said all sorts of clever things in the usual omniscient "I-just-know-only-what-to-do" style. Plusz, in my dream, it was a series, not a single case.

…and it turns out that there is some kind of game, a board game, in which he is included, with exactly the same exterior, antlers and everything, with a Roly-Poly toy-like body. And I went to the store to buy one for myself and I opened the box there to see if it really was like that…

…and then, luckily, the cat woke me up.

* Ex-Carmelite Monastery became the office of Viktor, the Prime Minister - after completely destroying the frescoes covering the walls, they were painted plain white (although they claimed that they had been professionally covered and could be restored later, but believe it or not)
