Úton / On the road

 …hajnali fél négy. Fülledt meleg, a levegő sem mozdul. Messziről reményt keltő dörgés, villámok világítják meg a felhőket. Egy kis remény.

 Szokásomtól eltérően felhajtok a 11-es útra. Felfestett kerékpársáv van, forgalom nincs. Ehhez képest az egyetlen gépkocsi hátulról rám dudál. Lusta átmenni a másik sávba? Vagy csak tetszik neki a seggem… de akkor is, milyen dolog ez?

 Feldíszített és villódzó fenyőfa egy telephelyen. Minden nap karácsony? Azért most az összes rénszarvas és szegény Miki is hőgutát kapna.

 Az út mellett a kukások tartanak pihenőt. A kigyúrt, izompólós fiúk egymásnak mutogatják a telefonjaikat a kocsi mellett. Jól szórakoznak. Szerintem macskás videókat osztanak meg egymással.

 A gyalogátkelőnél elektromos rollerrel egy tógás alak áll. Bíbor felső köpeny: valószínűleg valami szenátor lehet. Nagyvonalú kézlegyintéssel elenged egy teherautót mielőtt átkelne, arisztokratikus arcán apró félmosoly.

…Kezdődik a hét.

…it's half past four in the morning. It's stiflingly hot, the air doesn't even move. From afar, a hopeful roar and lightning light up the clouds. A little hope.

 I'm driving up to route 11 differently than usual. There is a painted cycle lane, no traffic. But the only car is honking at me from behind. Too lazy to move to the other lane? Or maybe he just likes my ass… but still, what kind of thing is that?

 A decorated and twinkling xmas tree on a site. Every day Christmas? But now all the reindeer and poor Mickey would get heat stroke.

 Garbage collectors take a break by the road. The skinny boys in muscle shirts show each other their phones next to the car. They are having fun. I think they share cat videos with each other.

 At the pedestrian crossing, there is a figure with an electric scooter, wears toga. Crimson overcoat: Probably some sort of senator. With a generous wave of his hand, he lets go of a truck before crossing, a small half-smile on his aristocratic face.
